Itinerary

Welcome to Bhutan: Arrive at Paro International Airport, where you’ll be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

Relax and Unwind: Spend the day resting and acclimatizing to the altitude.

Explore Paro: In the evening, visit Paro town and enjoy a leisurely stroll.

Overnight: Stay overnight at a hotel in Paro.

Tiger’s Nest Monastery: Hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) early in the morning. Explore the monastery and enjoy the stunning views.

National Museum: Visit the National Museum of Bhutan to learn about the country’s history and cultural heritage.

Overnight: Stay overnight at a hotel in Paro.

 

Start Trek: Drive to the trailhead at Genekha and begin your trek to Gur.

Scenic Views: Enjoy the scenic views of the valley as you trek through terraced fields and coniferous forests.

Camp: Camp overnight at Gur (3,290m).

Distance: 7 km

Duration: 5-6 hours

Trek: Continue trekking from Gur to Labatama, crossing high ridges and enjoying the rugged beauty of the surroundings.

Alpine Meadows: Trek through refreshing meadows adorned with wildflowers and asparagus (in spring).

Camp: Camp overnight at Labatama (4,300m), near Utsho Lake.

Distance: 12 km

Duration: 6-7 hours

 

Explore Lakes: Spend the day exploring nearby lakes such as Relitsho, Hentsho, Setsho, and Jagetsho. These lakes are full of trout, and your trekking leader will share mystic stories about them.

Lunch: Enjoy lunch by the lakeside with spectacular views.

Optional Hike: Attempt to climb Jomo Peak (5,050m) if weather permits.

Overnight: Camp overnight at Labatama.

 

Trek: Trek from Labatama to Pankha, climbing along the western side of Dala Tsho up to a saddle at 4,520m.

Panoramic Views: Enjoy fantastic views of the majestic Himalayan peaks, including Mt. Everest, Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Jomolhari, and more.

Camp: Camp overnight at Pankha (4,000m).

Distance: 8 km

Duration: 5-6 hours

Trek: Trek from Pankha to Talakha, crossing several impressive passes and enjoying views of the Thimphu Valley.

Descent: Descend through the forest to reach Talakha Monastery.

Transfer to Thimphu: Drive to Thimphu and explore the city in the evening.

Overnight: Stay overnight at a hotel in Thimphu.

Distance: 10 km

Duration: 6-7 hours

Farewell: Transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure flight.
